planting seeds

A seed is a little plant. It is a plant that has now started to grow.

Some seeds grow slowly, such as oak tree, while some grow fast.

M: Do you want to plant a seed that grow slowly or fast?

K: Fast.

M:This is a mung bean. It grow fast. You can plant bean seeds yourself. You can plant the seeds in eggshells or tin cans or cups or little flowerpots. Beans can grow in the soil or water. Which one do you prefer?

K: Both.

M: If you want to plant seeds in the soil, be sure that your containers have holes in the bottom, otherwise they will be flooded.

K: I need some eggshells.

M: OK. How many eggshells is?

K: One two three four, four eggshells.

M: Brilliant! We use a pencil to make holes in the eggshells.If you put one seed in one eggshells, how many seeds do you need?

K: Four.

M:Great! We fill the eggshells with soil like this and make a hole in the soil with your finger. Plant one bean seed in each hole. Cover the seed with soil. Water them. Number the eggshell. Write number on the eggshell. A seed is a little plant. It is a plant that has now started to grow.

The water soaks into the seeds.The seeds get fatter and fatter. In two days, its skin pops off, now the roof grows from one side of the bean coat.

Four days later.The bean seeds are pushed up. A shoot grows toward the sun. The leaves will turn green next.
