云锦的纹样中，以龙凤最为常见。龙象征帝王，以凤象征后妃，而且龙还有云龙、团龙、游龙、龙戏珠等。“四合云”图案也是云锦的传统纹样。一般来说，它是由四朵云组合在一起，四边连着流云，各朝着一个方向作回旋状，有祥和统一的吉祥寓意。
