5月24日下午，湖北工业大学第五届“丝路杯”国际学生汉语演讲比赛隆重举行。来自利比里亚、喀麦隆、莫桑比克、孟加拉国、多哥、刚果（金）、埃塞俄比亚、俄罗斯、摩洛哥等九个国家的十名国际学子在演讲台上讲述了他们对中国文化的理解、在中国学习生活的收获，分享了他们在中国的所见所闻。May 24th, the 5th "Silk- Road Cup" International Student Chinese Speech Contets of Hubei University of Technology was grandly held. Ten international students from nine countries, including Liberia, Cameroon, Mozambique, Bangladesh, Togo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Russia and Morocco, talked about their understanding of Chinese culture, their gains from studying and living in China, and shared what they saw and heard in China.
比赛分为诗歌朗诵、“我与中国的美丽故事”主题演讲与中国文化知识问答三个环节。选手们一一登台展示，表现了自己的汉语水平与中华文化知识，更传递了他们作为世界公民对中国的深刻理解与深情厚谊。The contest is divided into three parts: poetry reading, "My Beautiful Story with China" keynote speech and Chinese cultural knowledge quiz. The contestants showed their Chinese language proficiency and knowledge of Chinese culture, and conveyed their deep understanding and deep friendship for China as citizens of the world.
赛前，湖北工业大学副校长宋小春教授致辞。他在致辞中高度赞许了我校国际学生积极学习汉语言文化知识、融入中国社会的国际友人情怀，并提出了三点期望：一是希望大家永怀大爱之心，为人类共同的美好未来而努力，为构建人类命运共同体而奋斗，让自我价值呼应时代的召唤。二是希望大家永怀理解之心，尊重社会文化的差异，理解世界历史的进程，让包容的力量辉映世界美好的明天。三是希望大家永怀进取之心，继续努力提高汉语水平，勤奋研习专业知识，让青春的汗水灌溉在湖工大求学的日日夜夜。Before the competition, Professor Song Xiaochun, Vice President of Hubei University of Technology, delivered a speech. In his speech, he highly praised the international students of HBUT for actively learning Chinese language and cultural knowledge and their international friendship. He shared three expectations: First, to hope that everyone will always have a great heart of love, work hard for the common future of mankind, strive to build a community with a shared future for mankind, and let self-worth echo the call of the times. Second, to hope that everyone will always have a heart of understanding, respect social and cultural differences, understand the process of world history, and let the power of tolerance reflect a better tomorrow for the world. The third is to hope that everyone will always have an enterprising spirit, continue to work hard to improve their Chinese proficiency, diligently study professional knowledge, and let the sweat nourish the days and nights of studying at HBUT.
在主题演讲环节，来自喀麦隆的弗兰克林分享了自己在孔子学院学习的经历、对中喀友谊的认识。In the keynote speech, Franklin from Cameroon shared his experience of studying in the Confucius Institute and his understanding of the friendship between China and Cameroon.
来自埃塞俄比亚的伯尼分享了他学习中文的酸甜苦辣与对未来的期待。Boni from Ethiopia shares his bittersweet Chinese learning and his expectations for the future.
来自摩洛哥的傅悠然回忆了她在中国生活的美好回忆。Hafsa，from Morocco, recalls fond memories of her life in China.
来自孟加拉国的托哈则分享了他与中国美食的故事。Toha from Bangladesh shared his story of Chinese food.
同样来自孟加拉国的欧蜜则介绍了她最爱的城市——武汉。Omi, also from Bangladesh, introduced her favorite city, Wuhan.
来自俄罗斯的马可讲述了自己时隔六年的两次中国之行见证的巨大发展，以及对中俄两国人民共同走向美好未来的期望。Makarenko from Russia recounted the tremendous development witnessed during his two visits to China after six years, and his hopes for a better future for the Chinese and Russian peoples together.
来自莫桑比克的丁香回忆了她梦想开始的地方——湖北工业大学。Chiau, from Mozambique, recalls the place where her dream began, Hubei University of Technology.
来自多哥的爱莫斯分享了他在中国春节期间拜访中国朋友的美好回忆。Kuami from Togo shares fond memories of visiting Chinese friends during the Chinese New Year.
来自刚果（金）的罗娜则向我们介绍了她最好的中国朋友与她们之间美好的友谊。Noella from the Democratic Republic of the Congo introduced us to her best Chinese friends and their wonderful friendship.
来自利比里亚的孙加则介绍了他在传统民俗文化——中国剪纸中寻到的“中国梦”。 Sangary from Liberia, introduced the "Chinese Dream" he found in the traditional folk culture of Chinese paper-cutting.
经过紧张的角逐，来自利比里亚的孙加获得一等奖，来自莫桑比克的丁香与来自喀麦隆的弗兰克林获得二等奖，来自孟加拉国的托哈、来自多哥的爱莫斯、来自刚果的罗娜获得三等奖。来自埃塞俄比亚的伯尼等五位同学分别获得优秀奖与最佳风采奖。After intense competition, Sangary from Liberia won the first prize,Chiau from Mozambique and Franklin from Cameroon won the second prize, and Toha from Bangladesh, Kuami from Togo and Noella from Congo won the third prize. Boni and five other students from Ethiopia won the Excellence Award and the Best Style Award respectively.
赛后，国际交流与合作处处长龙艳分享了自己连续参加五届“丝路杯”演讲比赛的感受。学校外国语学院院长鲁修红、底特律绿色工业学院与国际学院党委书记黄拥军、底特律绿色工业学院院长何涛以及宣传部、学工部、教务处、研究生院相关老师出席了比赛现场活动。After the competition, Ms. Long Yan, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, shared her feelings about participating in the "Silk Road Cup" speech competition for five consecutive years. Lu Xiuhong, Dean of School of Foreign Language，Mr. Huang Yongjun, Secretary of the CCP Committee of DGTI and SIE, Mr. He Tao, Dean of DGTI, and relevant teachers from the Publicity Department, the Stundets Affairs Department, the Academic Affairs Department, and the Graduate School attended the competition.
我校“丝路杯”国际学生汉语演讲比赛正是湖工大国际学子同奏世界旋律、咏唱中国情怀的舞台，更是他们向世界传达中国声音的平台。The "Silk Road Cup" Chinese Speech Contest for International Students of HBUT is a stage for international students to play world melodies and sing Chinese feelings, and it is also a platform for them to convey Chinese voices to the world.
