An English Singing Competition for the junior high students is on at Delong School, May 16th.
Today is a beautiful and exciting day. Because the English singing competition is fianlly taking place.
Look! Our singers are so attractive and shining in delicate makeup and special costume for the competition. They have been looking forward to it since a month ago.
Let’s enjoy some brilliant moments.
Some of the contestants are too nervous to look at the audience. Luckily, our gentle classmates notice that and respond with encouraging applause and say, “Come on, you can do it!”
Some of the singers are pretty confident. They sing so attractively that we can’t help following and singing together with them. Look at the waving arms.
What’s more, our classmates from the English drama club also puts on a nice English play: “Kitten goes fishing”. And three sunny boys from Grade 7 brings us an energetic street dance.
The English singing competition also makes a deep impression on the teachers from Shenzhen Henggang Central School. They are our distinguished guests. Look! Miss Li is speaking highly of our students and teachers.
Our headteacher, Mrs Li is also very excited. She says, “I had thought teenagers were too shy to show themselves. However, you really surprised me by your wonderful performances. I’m proud of you!”
As the organizers, Mrs Zhang and I are also very satisfied because our considerate preparation pays off. It’s well worth holding this singing competition and our students are more capable than we have realized.
