On the afternoon of February 27, all English teachers of Shanchong Junior High School gathered together to start the second teaching and research activity.
First of all, the team leader Ms Huai conveyed teaching plans and regular requirements to everyone.
Then, teachers from Grade 7 and 8 respectively made excellent analysis on test paper from five aspects.
Next, Miss Huai inspected each teacher’s lesson preparation and pointed out the highlights and the weaknesses that need improvement.
Finally, the English teachers were divided into three groups according to their grades. They all had a discussion on textbooks and the weekly test, and confirmed the key points of this week’s teaching and research. At the same time, they arranged the work plans for this week.
This week, two teachers from Grade 7 and Grade 9 carried out heterogeneous English teaching and research activities. All the English teachers participated actively.
Ms. Kang has a strong ability to control the class, and her teaching style is generous and decent. She helps students correct mistakes in time to increase the lesson efficiency.
Ms. Li presented us an effective review class with her enthusiasm. The design of teaching links was clear and the transition was natural. From words to sentences, Miss Li explained patiently to help students memorize. At the end of class, she linked the exam questions to help students consolidate what they have learned.
Vice Principal Wang participated in class, she communicated with students, understood students’ problems and helped them solve them.
After class, all the English teachers got together to discuss the lessons under the organization of Miss Huai. According to the rules of class evaluation, all English teachers made detailed comments on this lesson from different aspects.
In the process of evaluation, Vice Principal Wang pointed out the highlights and shortcomings of the teachers’ classes. Finally, she put forward better suggestions and requirements for the teachers’ future classes.
At last, the team leader Ms Huai made a summary about the lessons, and then she put forward her expectations. She hopes that all English teachers can get something from these lessons and make efforts to improve the quality of English teaching in Shanchong Junior High School.
