Let’s talk (LT)

Our topic for the first week of November is Weather and Seasons. Our students learned different types of weathers ☀️ ☁️ 🌧️ ⛈️ 🥶 🥵 🌤️ and the four 4️⃣ seasons🍂🌸🌞❄️. 

We used our wall calender 🗓️to practice our new vocabulary because we will be using this new language to update our calendar every morning.

Our big group students were also introduced to some natural disasters 🌊🌋and their common properties.

New material: Seasonal tree

This material allows students to practice the four seasons: Spring🌸, Summer🌞, Autumn🍂and Winter❄️ and associate the seasons to the color of leaves and flowers. They can also review numbers as each paper has a number at the bottom that tells them how many leaves they need to stick on the tree.

Phonics 🆎 and Writing✍🏻

The students learning Phonics Book 3 have practiced the long vowel o-e sound with new words: hole, mole , dome and home 🏠 .

The students learning Phonics Book 2 have learned some CVC words ending with -et. They practiced building the new -et words: jet 🛩️, net, vet and wet. 

The students learning Phonics Book 1 have practiced the phonetic sound of letter g. They have also practiced three words that begin with this sound: game👾, gift🎁and gorilla🦍.
