Let’s talk (LT)
Our let’s talk topic for the third and final week of September focused on the things we see touch and use everyday in our classroom. We learned about stationary ✏️ 📕 📏, furniture 🪑, building structure including door🚪, window🪟, floor, wall… and the five areas in a Montessori classroom. We have also learned numbers 1-5 to practice the sentence “I’m … years old.” Our grammar focused on the question “Where?” to locate the stationary and furnitures in the classroom. We reviewed basic prepositions on, in, under, beside, in front of and behind.

This week , we have read four ABC time books. 📚

Stage 3 : Maria Goes to School.
Stage 4 : I looked Everywhere.
🎵 Super simple songs (SSS) 🎵
This week we have practiced one super simple song for the big group students and another one for small group students.
🎶 Big Group : School Places
🎶 Small Group: How old are you?
The grammar focus for big group students is “Where?”, therefore we have practiced a song about “School places”.
The small group students learned the “How old are you?” song because they learned numbers 1-5 in our let’s talk lessons and practiced saying their ages.
Phonics 🆎 and Writing✍🏻
The students learning School Phonics Book 2 and Book 3 have completed the unit 1 activities on the work book of our new School Phonics book.
The students learning School Phonics Book 1 have completed the unit 1, lesson 1 activities on the workbook of our new School Phonics book.
English Talkshow
Our students performed the song “Pick up your pencil ✏️. They also showcased the vocabulary and sentences they have learned with a Q&A activity.
🌄 Hiking activity
In conjunction with our current EKIC theme, “All about me”, we went hiking to the mountains and explored one’s ability.
