This summer, my family and I went to Langshan and Nanshan Ranch in Shaoyang. Shaoyang is a great place. It's very cool here. My grandparents have always lived in Shaoyang. I have come to Shaoyang twice a year. I really like Shaoyang.
The mountain scenic area is a rare large-scale Danxia landform scenic area in China and even in the world, including six major scenic areas: Bajiaozhai, Chili Peak, Tianyi Lane, Fuyi River, Zixia Cave, and Tianshengqiao. Langshan has a variety of landforms, with the typical features of the forest land of Danxia Peak cluster peaks in its prime. It is high, steep, deep, and long. It is magnificent, strange, dangerous, secluded, and beautiful. It has magnificent Fangshan Terrace, stone pillars and walls rising from the ground, steep and precipitous Red Cliff, narrow and winding stone lanes and stone grooves, lifelike pictorial landscapes, and clear and beautiful Yijiang River. It is a tourist attraction, leisure resort, rock climbing adventure, scientific research resort, and a rich place in China Danxia's Danxia Scenic Area. The most representative and beautiful scenic spot in terms of degree and taste is praised by geological experts as "the soul of Danxia and the national treasure".
We stayed here for two days. On the first day, we went to Tianyi Lane.
Tianyi Lane has a total length of 238.8 meters, a width of 0.33-0.8 meters, and a wall height of 80-120 meters. It is known as the most unique alley in the world, known as the first alley in Langshan. There are multiple sky trails within the scenic area, with the longest reaching 238.8 meters, the narrowest at only 0.33 meters, and the widest at 0.8 meters, providing a unique visual experience. Entering the stone alley, looking up, one can only see a line of blue sky, with a feeling of breaking through the stone and reaching the sky.
This mountain is not high, so we easily climbed to the top.
On the second day, we went to Bajiaozhai.
Ba jiaozhai Kongshan Scenic Area was once selected as the most beautiful Danxia in China by the "Beauty Pageant China" section of China Geographic Magazine. It is known as the soul of Kongshan and is one of the core attractions of Kongshan Scenic Area. It is located in Kongshan Scenic Area, Kongshan Town, Xinning County, Hunan Province, on the border of Hunan and Guangxi provinces. The main attractions include Bajiaozhai, Longmen, Palm Rock, Yuntai Temple, Longtouxiang, Whale Roaring in the Sea, Yixiantai, Yaowang Hall, etc.
This is a difficult mountain to climb. There are many stone stairs. I feel tired, but I haven't given up. In the end, I reached the summit of the mountain. There is a temple called Yuntai Temple on the mountaintop. I visited Yuntai Temple and also paid respects to Emperor Wenchang, who was in charge of literary and political achievements in ancient times.
Nanshan Ranch is the largest modern mountain ranch in southern China, with a natural landscape dominated by the scenery of high-altitude plateau grasslands in southern China. Administratively, it is under the jurisdiction of Wutuan Town and Chang'anying Town in Chengbu Miao Autonomous County, Shaoyang City, and is mainly located in the hinterland of 80 miles of Da Nanshan Mountain. Although vast and boundless, it is not as flat as the Hulunbuir grassland. It is the first difficult mountain for the Central Red Army to pass through Shaoyang, and the Old Mountain Boundary described by Lu Dingyi. Three Red Army branches have passed through here successively.
Nanshan Ranch is an integral part of Hunan Nanshan National Park, the main exhibition area of the science, education and recreation functional zone of Hunan Nanshan National Park, one of the four nature reserves under the jurisdiction of Hunan Nanshan National Park, and a representative and geographical coordinate of Hunan grasslands. It is known as the 'Hulunbuir of the South' and the 'New Zealand of China'. Recognized by the Grassland Supervision Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China as the "Number One Pasture in China".
Upon arrival, the vast expanse of green grass and the scattering of cows and sheep create a picture-perfect scene. The ranch is characterized by its rolling hills and dense forests, providing a perfect backdrop for photography enthusiasts. The air is fresh and clean, filled with the scent of nature, making it a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
One of the highlights of the ranch is the Old Mountain Pass, a historical site that commemorates the bravery and sacrifice of the Chinese Red Army during the War of Resistance Against Japan. The passage of time has not diminished its significance, serving as a reminder of the struggles and triumphs of the Chinese people.
The ranch is also home to a waterfall, which cascades down the mountainside, creating a soothing sound that is both calming and refreshing. The clear waters of the falls are a welcome sight, especially on a hot summer day.
