著名实用主义教育家约翰杜威曾所说过：Education is not preparation for life, education is life itself (教育不是为生活做准备，教育是生活本身)。英语课本不止是“为学习语言做准备”而是为“语言本身”。为了丰富学校文化生活和学生的业余生活，并且加强学生英语学习和交流，提高同学们学习英语的积极性，给学生提供一个展现自我，提升自我的机会和舞台，我校英语组决定举行此次英语演讲活动大赛。
01 比赛开幕
本次七年级英语演讲比赛由神木十中尚应平书记，英语教研组组长周芳老师，英语教研组成员王金芝老师，郭娜娜老师，王亚刚老师，孟艳萍老师担任评委。从演讲内容、英语表达、演讲技巧、现场效果、时间把握、仪表形象等方面对参赛选手的综合能力进行屏比。
本次大赛由 七（1）班李艳妮，七（6）班闫嘉鑫、王煦菲、郭浩宇主持，伴随主持人的开场，本次英语演讲比赛正式开始。
02 选手风采
参赛选手们紧扣自己的演讲主题，用流利的英文让在场的老师和同学们领略了他们自信大方的口语风采，选手们表达内容丰富，条理清晰，逻辑严密。他们英姿张扬，满怀朝气，内敛沉稳，目光坚定，使在场的老师和同学们享受一场诚意满满的英文视听盛宴。

本次英语演讲活动的目的：一是有效地促进了学生学习英语的积极性，提升学生的英语口语表达能力，增强学生学习的自信心。二是激发了学生学习英语的兴趣和热情，营造了浓厚的英语学习氛围。三是为学生提供了一个展示自我的平台，进一步丰富了校园文化生活。比赛已落幕，但成长不止步。我们将不断提升学生的英语口语表达能力和综合运用能力，继续为学生搭建展现自我、彰显特长的舞台，继续自信大方地在舞台上绽放着自己的光彩！
