缤纷五月，“英”你精彩。值此我校第11届“英语节”来临之际，我们小学英语工作室也开启了我们的师生共享悦读之旅。习总书记指出，英语课程就是要让学生用英语讲好中国故事，向世界传播中国文化，要让学生实现从“文化他信”到“文化自信”的跨越。从本月起，我们工作室将陆续推出我们的师生共读系列活动，用英语讲好中国故事，用英语讲好我们的故事。本期推出阳城县第三小学五（1）班潘星诺的英语故事《愚公移山》。
Hello, everyone! My name is Pan Xingnuo. I'm from Class 1, Grade 5, NO3. primary school. I'm 12 years old. I'm an active girl and get on well with my classmates. I like swimming,drawing and singing,because I think they're very interesting. I also like English and traditional Chinese culture. Today, I am going to tell you a traditional chinese story about Yu Gong remored the mountains.
Long long ago, there were two high mountains.
Taihang mountain and Wangwu mountain .These
two high mountains blocked the way for the villagers to go out.One of the villagers is an old man named Yu Gong.He was more than 90 years old.
One day. Yu Gong Called his family together and said :"The two mountains are too much in the way. Let's move them away".
His wife said:”are you crazy,old man?How can we move two big mountains? And what about aii the dirt and stones?”
Yugong said:Don’t worry,we can move the dirt and stones to the seaside.”
Hequzhisou laughed and said;You are so old,How can you move the mountains?”
Yugong said:"I am old.but I have sons.If my sons are old,I have grandsons.we can move them generation by generation”.
YUgong and his family removed the mountains,day after day,never taking a break.
Finally,the jade Emperor heard about it. He was very touched by Yugong,so he sent two gods to help.In a blink of an eye,the two mountains were removed.
The story tells us that as long as we have determination,anything can be done,no matter how difficult it is.
