In this year’s extraordinary May, the month of youth and power, we celebrate the inheritance and development of the May spirit, the great achievements of the Communist Party of China, the inheritance of the red genes, and the styles of young people in the new era through songs as a medium, to unite friends and convey feelings.
The singing competition “唱响红歌，强国有我” aims to inspire young people's patriotism, enhance their sense of collective honor and inspire the younger generation to strive for the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation by singing classic Chinese songs.
The International department started off the competition with 《最初的梦想》. This song expresses the persistence and pursuit of the original dream. It encourages people to not forget their initial goals and dreams when facing setbacks and difficulties, and to persistently pursue them. No matter what difficulties we encounter, as long as we persist, we can ultimately achieve our dreams!
Next, these talented singers performed the song 《We are the World》. The meaning of the song is to emphasize global unity and mutual care. Although the International department come from different places, cultures, and backgrounds, our strength is infinite when we unite. The lyrics and melody are very inspiring, conveying a strong message that through individual actions, we can work together to create a more loving world.
Finally, after the unanimous decision of the judges and teachers, the International Department won the first prize! They went through tons of practice and evaluations from teachers and classmates, ensuring a perfect performance for the glory of our school.
