单元主题：Obey the Rules
本单元属于“人与自我”主题范围，涉及“生活与学习”主题群中的 “健康、文明的行为习惯与生活方式”。
本单元围绕遵守规则这一主题展开，共包含六个课时的内容，包括四个语篇、一个绘本故事和一个综合实践活动。
语篇一是有关班规的语篇。Gao Wei平时在各方面表现得很好，他正在带领组员们制订班级规则。在语篇的教学过程中，让学生感知并学会运用祈使句描述班规。
语篇二是有关家规的语篇。Peter在学校是一名好学生，但是在家却有一些不良习惯。妈妈给他制定了一些家庭规则。在语篇的教学过程中，让学生在真实语境中运用You should/shouldn’t…描述家规。
语篇三是有关公共规则的语篇。配图中呈现了一些不文明行为，一些孩子及时制止了这些不文明行为。在语篇的教学过程中，引导学生在真实的语境中运用You must/mustn’t…功能语句描述公共规则。
语篇四是介绍身边规则的配图语篇。Mimi和同班同学正在进行社会研究旅行。他们分别在不同的公共场合摆放指示牌，提醒人们要遵守规则。在语篇的教学过程中，引导学生要从自身做起，遵守规则。
语篇五是绘本故事。故事给出了一个很好的行为模仿对象，一只巨有智慧的老鼠，她的口头禅是I know rules are good for me. 本课绘本故事引导学生复习和巩固本单元所学的目标语言，并在真实情境中运用核心语言进行互动交流。
语篇六是以“了解身边的规则”为主题的英语综合实践活动。通过复习跟规则有关的核心语言，开展设计了解身边的规则拓展活动，让学生把不同地区的规则落实到英语小报上，形成个性化的英语小报作品。本课时在引导学生学习语言的同时，增强学生了解不同规则的意识，在体验和实践中不断学习并实现个性发展。
以下为学生在本单元需要学习的核心知识和技能：
本单元的六个语篇从不同视角谈论“规则”，单元内各语篇于单元主题之间以及各个语篇之间都相互关联，构成相应子主题，且子主题之间呈现关联性。各分课时围绕单元主题和子主题依次展开，各个课时之间既相互独立，又紧密联系，同时体现出层次性。学生的语言学习渗透并贯穿于主题探究的过程中，学习活动由浅到深，理解性技能和表达性技能协同发展，进而形成基于Obey the Rules这一主题的结构化知识（见下图）

语篇一：Class Rules
Gao Wei is a good boy. He knows the school rules very well.
He comes to school early. He listens carefully and talks actively. He never makes noise in class. He's a group leader. His group is making a list of class rules.

语篇二：Home Rules
Peter is a good student at school. But sometimes he is not a good boy at home. He doesn't like to do housework. He often makes a mess in his room. He watches TV too often. He reads in bed and he goes to bed very late. Peter's mother writes some home rules for him:

You should:
1. help to do housework.
2. keep your room clean.
3. go to bed early.
You shouldn't:
1. get up late.
2. watch TV too often.
3. read in bed.
语篇三：Public Rules
Look out! You mustn't cross the street now. You 'must wait for the green light.

You must take good care of young children.
语篇四：Rules around Us
Mimi , Micky and their classmates are going on a social studies trip. They come to a hospital. The rabbit puts her sign in front of the hospital. She wants to tell people, “Be quiet! They come to a busy street. The dog puts his sign near the street to tell people, “No crossing!”Mimi holds up a sign to tell people, “Look out!” They come to a beautiful park. The pan- da holds up his sign to tell people, “Keep off the grass!” Micky points to his sign to tell people, “No littering!” Micky feels hungry. He eats a banana. Then he throws the banana skin on the ground. What's wrong with Micky? What are his classmates saying to him?
