On the first day we came to Nanjing, we first visited the presidential palace. As the saying goes: "A presidential palace, half of the modern history".
In the plum garden, we visited the former residence of Mr. Sun Yat-sen, learned about the conference room in the Republic of China, and walked through the auditorium. Everything here surprised me!
Mr. Sun Yat-sen is a great man. He saved China in times of crisis and made great contributions to China.
So until today, we have designated 3.12 as Arbor Day🌲.In fact, it is also in memory of Mr. Sun Yat-sen.
After that, we visited the Confucius Temple in Nanjing and enjoyed the scenery of the Qinhuai River.
There, we ate a lot of Nanjing snacks, such as duck blood vermicelli soup🍜, plum cake🍥, Huang Qinji bean jelly🍝, Yushan Liangguo, and chicken soup buns.
In Kexiang, we also ate Nanjing roast duck🦆, rock sugar lotus root, beef pot stickers🥠, sesame rice🍘, and sweet and sour smoked fish.
Look! You may be surprised what this durian-like building is? 🤔Let me tell you that this is the Buddha's Top Palace in Niushou Mountain⛰️.
As you can see, this is the beautiful scenery that my father and I enjoyed on the top of the Lingxiao Treasure Hall, which is amazing!🤩
It cost 4 billion yuan to build this palace alone, which is really an amazing number!
This is the place of worship of the top bone of the Buddha. There are 1,343 Buddha statues in the magnificent palace, which is also known as the Holy Land of Buddhism.
After the visit, I was deeply attracted by the grandeur and magnificence of the building and reluctantly left.
The next morning, we came to the Nanjing Museum.
It is very large and displays treasures during the change of dynasties. We spent a morning visiting many exquisite sculptures, paintings and calligraphy galleries.
You may be curious when you see this. What is this? In fact, this is the treasure of the Nanjing Museum! Its name is "Golden Beast"
Its gold content is as high as 99%! It weighs 9,100 grams, which is the heaviest piece of ancient gold castings unearthed in China.
You, who are reading this travelogue, have followed me to Wutong Avenue, which is located in Zhongshan Mausoleum🛤️. The road is full of sycamore trees. When I walk on the sycamore avenue, the green of summer makes me feel very comfortable!
The sycamore trees in Nanjing are not only a plant, but also a symbol of history and culture. They witness the development and changes of Nanjing and carry the memory and respect of the people of Nanjing for history.
The music station is also located in the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and is mainly used as a musical performance to commemorate the ceremony of Dr. Sun Yat-sen.
There are many cute pigeons here🕊️. When you have food in your hand, they will approach you, but several times I always disturb them when I feed them, and then they will fly away!
Pioneer Bookstore is a famous cultural business card in Nanjing, and is also known as "the most beautiful bookstore in China".
On this wall, I saw postcards with many tourist messages. I believe that good wishes and dreams will come true!🔖🥰
This is the last stop of my trip to Nanjing, and it is also the most meaningful place ————the Memorial Hall of the Nanjing Massacre of the Japanese Army who invaded China.
What comes into view is a huge sculpture, which is called The Broken Family and the Dead. A mother held her child weakly with both hands. I seemed to see the innocent people under the war and felt the cruel atrocities of the Japanese army!
There are countless sculptures like this, telling us the ruthlessness of gunfire, and the grief of the people!
The facts of 300,000 victims tell us the horror of the war all the time, and everyone who comes here has a heavy heart.
The names of the victims keep appearing on the dark screen, and time solidifies with the silent air.
1937.12.13——1938.1,"Japan has surrendered!" These five characters are so dazzling! It represents the victory of the Chinese people against foreign aggression, and that the suffering Chinese nation is about to welcome a new future!
Li Xiuying, a survivor of the Nanjing Massacre, said, "Remember history, not hatred." History is history, and facts are facts.
The Nanjing Massacre is a catastrophe with strong evidence. It will not disappear due to the changes of the times. It should become the common memory of all mankind!
Nowadays, the number of survivors is gradually decreasing, and we must keep history in mind!
However, remember that history is not to continue hatred, but to take history as a lesson, face the future, cherish peace, and eliminate war!
Finally, I dedicated this white chrysanthemum to the sculpture of the purple gold flower girl.
Walking out of the square, the sun is shining, the sky is particularly clear, and the sculpture of peace shines brightly in the middle of the square!
"Don't forget the past, the teacher of the future." Justice will win! Peace will win! The people will win! Even if the sun is shining now, don't forget the dark days in the past, and we should be self-improved!
Thank you for reading!🌈
