Shanxi has a long history.There are plenty of places of interest for us to explore. On the summer holiday, my parents and I went on a trip to Pingyao Ancient City. It only took us half an hour by high-speed rail to get there.
Our first stop was the city walls.Walking on them , I felt like travelling back to ancient times.
As the birthplace of Chinese banking, Rishengchang bank was also on our must-visit list.
I heard that it played an important role in China’s economic development and it was called the old “Wall Street of China”. These facts created a great sense of pride in my heart.
That trip helped me have a bettter understanding of Pingayao Ancient City. I am impressed by the spirit of hard work from people in Shanxi in ancient times.
